200th post!!

This is my 200th post! WOW!

So a few things...Roxy has been sick. She MAY have a urinary tract infection, but it could be anything else also. She's been on meds for a while, and isn't getting she went to the vet again yesterday. She's been kind of sad - she's been blocked in the kitchen so if she pees at all (without knowing), it's easy to clean up. After the vet, I wanted her to be happy so I let her put her head out the window. (I always get really nervous with the windows down, because Molly jumped out the window.) But I had a leash on her, and so I felt okay about it. I had it down just enough for her head to be out, but she kept pawing at it to go more down. So, feeling so bad for her, I put it all the way down...

Have you ever seen a more happy dog? I had to put up all these pics because I didn't know if the iphone would give you the real experience or not - so I hope you are taking it all in!

On a side note, I've been doing P90X - if you haven't read my other blog, you should! It's been a ton of fun, but is definitely making me tired - I get up really early in the morning to make sure I get it done. Also, I got a bunch of my to do list from my previous entry done. Now just need to get pictures, and finish the rest of the things, and then I'll blog about that. Also, I LOVE our truck. It's the newest car we have ever owned, and I love all the features! It is just TOO much fun.

To do!!!

This picture is on this particular blog post because I needed a picture of something...

It's how Roxy plays "look like ET." haha

To do:

Get done today:
1. Get ready for work
2. Go to work
3. Do dishes
4. Clean the house
5. Finish putting backs on the H's
6. Finish putting up the H's - they're looking great, and I'm excited! I'm going to put them all on the wall, and then decide what to paint them. I have decorated two of them and love them so far, so we'll see if I use paint or paper on the rest.
7. Make dinner
8. Run with the dogs

Get done sooner than later (hopefully by the end of this week):
1. Paint the rest of my craft room
2. Take pictures of craft room and H's to put on the blog
3. Buy this:
4. Put mirror above buffet table
5. Figure out something to do with the right and left sides of my buffet table wall (I'm thinking a saying side - like live, laugh, love sayings, or whatever, and can't think of something for the other side. Maybe I should get a ton of clocks and make a clock wall. hehe So, SERIOUSLY...need ideas here!!
6. Return clock to walmart (since it was broken when I bought it - DANG IT) and exchange for a new one.
7. Get my aero garden shelf up - Eric has to sand it for me - he didn't like my sand job. :(

I don't think I'll get half of these things done - but I will definitely try!

Anybody know of a good Iphone App for a to do list? I have tried a few, but don't really like any of them. Then again, I've only tried the free ones.

Happy Bday Sally! (And welcome Estelle!!)

Sally's birthday
was Friday - the 22nd! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SALLY!

Sally is an AWESOME mom-in-law. She loves to have fun, and takes me with her if she has the chance!!!!

She is a great mom to her children, and well, everyone else in her life!
She is VERY helpful! She is always willing to come and help me whenever I ask her to. One time, she even came down all the way to my work, JUST to be there for AAA to come and unlock my car. :)

Yesterday, we had everyone over for dinner - I made sure that Sally had 54 candles on her cupcakes, AND she blew them ALL out. Good job Sally. (Maybe Kade was helping a bit...)

Now, on a side note, let's talk about...

I promised Eric that once we were out of credit card debt, he could get the truck he wanted, and's... ESTELLE.
This is Tuck in the truck. He LOVES it.
Next, we need a huge garage. At this moment, we have a truck, a jetta, two subes (Eric bought another one just to take the car panels off, the chairs, etc to put on his car), and two jeeps.

I think we will be selling some of these soon...

All new! WAHOO!

I put our black couches on KSL. We wanted something leather, something brown, and something bigger. Someone wanted to buy them from me, but Eric said we weren't in the couch buying market yet. :( So I had to say no.

Just a day later, Eric found couches he wanted!!! YAY!!! And they were at Costco, so obviously built well, and inexpensive!! I contacted the lady who had wanted to buy the black ones, and she still did! And for more than we had them on KSL. The only bad part was - I had to drive them to Layton. But heck, the price was well worth it.

SOOOOO...we got NEW COUCHES!!!!!! I love them. I can't speak any more highly of them! They are amazing! Best thing about them - besides how good they smell - is that on the couch part - two of the seats recline, and on the love seat, both seats recline! HOLLA! I love them SOOOOOOOOOOO much.

We also got a new rug for the living room - as shown below.

Anywho - besides that, I went and bought a bunch of "H"s for my living room wall. I'll show you the finished product when I'm done. I also painted my craft room - just as a sample to see what it would look like- but hated the color, and so am repainting it. Expect pictures soon.

Now we have one more couch to get rid of, and we've gotten rid of all the furniture we don't want! Next, we're in the market for bar stools for Eric's game room. I'm so excited about what it will look like! I just need to remember - be patient! It will all come together! lol

Happy Birthday Sexy Stud!!!

Happy birthday Eric!!!

Eric is a very LOVING person. He puts his family first, and I love that.
He is always willing to help everybody - even if it is out of his way. (And is always willing to get his winch out. :) )
He knows how to have FUN.
He knows how to cook when I don't want to. (And let's Tucker help him.)
He loves our animals like our own children.
Besides all that, he is absolutely amazing. He's my bestest friend, my love, and the best hubby EVER. I love you babe! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Now, because it was Eric's birthday (and Ange's), we needed to have a TON of fun. Austin and Ange were visiting (and had never been skiing or snowboarding), and Eric LOVES skiing, so that's what we did! I took the day off, and off we all went. (Eric, me, Austin, Ange, Ethan, and Cameron who came later. - No Natalie. :( )

These are my skis from the lift.
And this is me skiing!
And this is a gorgeous shot off the mountain that Eric took.
Ange, Ethan, and Austin on the chair lift. Poor Ange hurt herself her first time snowboarding, AND on her birthday. :(
After a fun day on the mountain, we went to Tepanyaki for Ange and Eric's birthday dinner.

Addison DOES NOT like the fire... it's quite hilarious.

Watch her here - and then notice Kade's love for the show. He said "I can't stop watching!" haha

Then we had an ice cream and cake party! A few people went upstairs and played pool.

Eric wanted a lot of ice cream for the party, and they stacked it up in this picture. (Sally, we left it at your house! Don't eat it all! We'll be back to get it! :) )
During present opening time, Austin had to open his Christmas presents from us.
Then Eric opened a bunch of his presents...
And Ange opened hers!
Then we had the cake part of the party. This was Ange's cupcake cake.
And Eric's apple crisp. Everyone is singing happy birthday here, and at the part with "Happy Birthday dear Eric and Ange", Kade had to point at who they were. He's so cute.
Happy Birthday Eric and Ange!!!

And thanks for coming out here Austin and Ange! WE MISS YOU!

2010 baby!

This is the first new years that I've been at home, by myself, doing whatever I wanted to do. I got a ton of stuff done being at home. I spent some of the day putting all the Christmas stuff away. Then I got to putting the Christmas presents away, and decided I wanted to use the clay pot my wonderful hubby gave me. So peach cobbler was the dish of choice, and later pot roast will be the choice. But for now, here's how you make the cobbler!

First, you're using a clay pot, so you need to soak the pot in water for about 30 minutes.

After it's all watered, we're ready to use it! Go ahead and grease the inside, so the cobbler comes out.
Then, you'll need about two cups of peaches - if you don't have fresh peaches, Natalie's canned peaches are definitely the way to go! Natalie, thank you so much! They were DELICIOUS!
Take all the peaches and put them in the clay pot.
Mix together 3/4 cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of flour. Sprinkle it over the peaches. Then put a tablespoon of lemon juice over the peaches.
Then take a tablespoon of butter, and put a few little dots of butter over all the stuff in the clay pot.
In another bowl, stir together 2 cups of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 4 teaspoons of baking powder and a tablespoon of sugar. Then, put 1/3 cup shortening in the dry ingredient mixture. Mix it together until it's a bunch of crumbs.

After that, in another bowl, put beat one egg. Add 3/4 cup of milk.

Add the milk/egg mix to the dry ingredient mix, and stir only until it is moistened.
Drop 6 dots of the mixture all over the ingredients in the clay pot.
Now, it's a clay pot, so when you put it in the oven, DO NOT preheat. So put the clay pot in the oven, turn the oven to 425 degrees, and let the clay pot and cobbler heat up with the oven. Once the oven is heated up, cook it for about 30 - 45 minutes. Check it about 30 minutes in - stick a toothpick in it and see if it comes out clean. If everything is good - then ENJOY!!!!

Now, it IS the new year, and this year is going to be great! So many good things are going to happen, and I'm so excited. PLUS, last year I kinda made a new years resolution to not get sick. If you remember:

"I really never make any new years resolutions, but I would like to try and NOT get sick this year. Long stretch, I know - because I have no control over that, but it'd be a nice goal, right? I wasn't sick for TWO months, until I got sick over the last few days - but it's gone away quickly! YAY!"

In 2009, I only got sick four times!!! FOUR TIMES! That's so few times for me! Now, three of those four times were in the last three months - pretty sure my body does NOT like the change in season. BUT, I figure if I could do so well last year, I might as well try the same "resolution" again! No getting sick! :)

I also have a few goals this year for myself - mostly completing things that lead towards all the things I want to do before I'm 30. :) Keep it up me!
