Mountain Tropic

This last weekend, Eric and I did the Mountain Tropic Tri. I may never do a Bear Lake tri again... the water was SO hypothermic! But besides that, it was a ton of fun, and I'm addicted to doing these now. We are already signed up for another one in September. :)

The night before, they marked us all over with our numbers. Then we went and had dinner. Afterwards, we went to the camping spot we were staying with a lady named Shelly that Eric works with. She calls him Donkey - because that's what people call him at work - and it's so funny to hear people call him that all the time. We stayed in their trailer- it was huge! Thanks so much Shelly for all of your hospitality! :)

The next morning, we got up at 6 to get ready and to head over to the Tri. After swimming in the coldest water (I would have died if I had been on the Titantic), we finally warmed up biking. Afterward, we snapped this shot.
And after we were all done running...TAH DAH! :)

Eric ran ahead of me - even with a hurt ankle - this just makes me want to train harder so I can run faster. hehe

PS I think Eric looks super hot in these pictures.

After the race, we signed up for our free massages, and while we were waiting, ate our race meal.
And I took pictures of our numbers/medals.

After all of that, we went back and relaxed in Shelly's trailer. That morning they had to make a ton of pancakes, and saved us these "bear lake monsters". :) So cute.

It was so fun and I can't wait for our next one!

This time I'm definitely training harder so I can one day be the top three girls racing! What a dream, right?

The fam comes for a visit

Kerstin and her kids have been staying in Utah, without my bro, for the past few weeks. So, they came down for dinner and to hang out. The kids LOVED the bunnies.

Isabelle kept wanting them to sit in her lap.

Andrew just wanted to pet them. They wouldn't sit in one place though long enough for him to do so, so he had to walk around and pet them.
"Jack! Come here! We pet buns!"

Even baby Michael was enjoying himself.

David - sounds like you may need to get some bunnies! :)
